'He died Jan. 25th, 1587, and was buried in South Weald Church.'

In this book, dates before 1600 are given as death dates, while dates in the early 1600s are given as burial dates. It is possible that the pre-1600 dates are from probate records rather than parish records and thus are correctly identified as death dates.

'He was buried within the chancel of South Weald church (St. Peter's).'

  5. Birth year estimated based on estimated birth year of his brother Middle John. See citation and associated notes in the record for his parents' marriage for the reasoning behind the estimate, and also the reason for rejecting the christening date (9 Apr 1516) given in the Ancestral File.
