Issues

The parents of Robert Willis who settled in Goochland County are unclear. Some have them as Henry Willis of Fredericksburg, but others have them as a Robert Willis and Mary Price.

The last name of Roberts wife is given various as Noline, Nolan, Naline, Nowland. Her first name is usually given as "Ellender", but sometimes as "Hellender". The former seems to be correct, because "Ellender Walker" gave permission for her daughter Susan to marry Joseph Walker in1789.
