About Robert A. "Bob" Westlund
Robert Alfred "Bob" Westlund" was born 26 October 1919 in Wisconsin, the son of Helmer Isodore Westland and Hattie Hanson. His father was born in Sweden and his mother in Wisconsin.
Robert worked most of his professional life in the Aerospace industry, working for many aerospace companies throughout his career. Bob became good friends with Elwood C. "Bud" Veregge (1922-2013), whom he worked with on many projects through the years.
Bob was married to his wife Gwendolyn G. Jones, daughter of Lester Ellison Jones (1902-1959) and Edna Louise Burrow (1903-1981). Robert and Gwendolyn Westlund had two children together, one of which, Christopher Westlund (1949-1987), predeceased Bob by two years. They lived in Granada Hills, Los Angeles County, California for many years. Bob's wife Gwendolyn is an accomplished painter.
Bob was a good man with a great sense of humor that has been missed by his friends, co-workers and family, but will never be forgotten.
