    Robert Welles, probably the Robert Welles of Stourton in Whichford, co. Warwick, who was baptized 6 Nov 1540, and under 21 on 8 Oct 1558, died about 1619

  2.   Stourton and Whichford are 2 separate hamlets/villages in the southern part of Warwickshire several miles apart. There is also a Manor of Stourton which may lie somewhere between the two villages. Whichford may have been the parish reference for Stourton. Currently the village of Stourton lies within both Whichford parish and Cherrington parish. (See the discussion under Stourton here in WeRelate.)
  3.   Several other researchers have this Robert Welles marrying Alice (possibly Alice Tomes or Hunt). The Elizabeth Bryan you have listed as Robert's wife is often credited as Robert's mother, wife of Thomas Welles. Any citations to support this family ?
