1854 - There is a Robert SARE listed as a farmer at South Lopham in Francis White's History, Gazetteer and Directory, of Norfolk pp. 764-765.

1881 - With his sister and her husband, Robert and Elizabeth BOWELL, on the Great Common, North Lopham. Chelsea Pensioner.

1891 - Living with wife in a four-roomed home in Garboldisham Rd, South Lopham. Army pension, aged 57.

1901 - Living in Garboldisham Rd, South Lopham. Army pensioner, R E Sapper.

1905 - Appears to be the Robert SARE listed as owning tithe plots 541 & 322 in South Lopham. (NRO: PD 120 35)

1917 - Robert's gravestone is sandstone with a trefoil design at the top, rose on the left, primrose central and a lily on the right. The memorial inscription, from a transcription made by the Women's Institute, reads: In affectionate remebrance of/ ROBERT SARE/ Beloved husband of/ HARRIETT SARE/ who died January 9th 1917/ aged 83 years/ His end was peace.

The footstone, also sandstone, is inscribed: R. S. /1917.

1917 - Probate: Robert SARE of South and North Lopham died 09/01/1917. Probate Norwich 03/06/1917 to Nathan FENN police Sgt and Robert Wallace SARE Carpenter. Effects £165.
