Wardell, Lt. Col. U.S. Army Ret. : Paris, Robert, born 10/3/1750 in Botetourt County [then Augusta County*], Virginia; entered service 1774 in Montgomery County, Virginia, where he resided, in Virginia regiment against Indians; entered service 1775 for expedition to Kentucky Territory with Daniel Boone; entered service 1777 in company of brother Captain Paris; moved in Spring 1780 from Montgomery County, Virginia to Greene County (area later became Tennessee), North Carolina, where he entered service in Virginia regiment; moved in 1793 to Madison County, Kentucky (area later was Garrard County, Kentucky) for abt. 10 years, thence to Shelby County, Kentucky, where granted Pension in 1833.
