Robert Newborn was baptised on 7th February 1819 at Thurlby by Bourn in Lincolnshire, son of Edward and Alice Newborn. His older siblings had been baptised a few miles to the south at Barnack in Northamptonshire, and the family clearly returned to Barnack, with Robert appearing in the 1841 census there with his parents, working as an agricultural labourer. Robert has yet to be traced after the 1841 census.
