Robert Morrow was born 30 July 1752 in Maryland, near Baltimore. He moved with parents David and Mary Morrow and family to the "Fishing Creek" area of present day Chester County, South Carolina by 1765 where father David and uncle Samuel Morrow had land grants. Robert marrried widow Jane Peden Morton in early 1775 in the Chester District. Served in the SC Militia "Spartan Regiment" (later named Roebuck's Regiment) during the Revolutionary War. He moved with his family to the Spartanburg area about 1779. He moved to Greenville District, SC by 1787. Moved to Morgan Co, AL in 1818 with sons Samuel and Thomas, as recorded in session minutes of Fairview Presbyterian Church. He died 1823 and is buried with Jane in the Morrow cemetery near Somerville, Alabama.
Daughter Janet died young.
