- Miller, Robert, entered service 1777 Augusta County, Virginia, substitute for father Patrick; died 2/18/1828; married 7/17/1793 to Jane Yowel, Augusta County, Virginia; widow died 9/17/1839 in Greenbrier County, Virginia; son John applied for pension 1847 there for self & other surviving siblings: William, John, Alexander, Elizabeth, Jane Alexander & Margaret George, all resided there, and Mary Ferry & Robert, all residents of Daviess County, Missouri; soldier's brother John age 75 & soldier's sister Mary Benston age 85 both resided then in Monroe County, Virginia; children's Pensiion Application Rejected, insufficient proof of service.
