Robert, became a physician. He was sent to study at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He practiced at Dundas, and later opened an office in Georgetown, Ontario.

The oldest cemetery was called McCullough's Cemetery; bodies were moved from there to Greenwood in 1898.
