Robert Mayers Sr.

Robert F. Mayers Sr., 60, of 1717 Esplanade Ave., Davenport, died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMotte, Iowa. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Visitation is 3 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

He was employed 13 years at Oscar Mayer Foods Corp., Davenport, maintenance department. Before that, he had been employed at Iowana Dairies, Bettendorf, and Sturdevant Dairies, Rock Island.

Mr. Mayers married Donna McCarthy in 1961 in Rock Island. She died last March.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Mayers was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Davenport.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Mayers, a son, Robert Jr., and a sister, Betty Burchell, all of Davenport; and brothers, John, Rock Island, Richard, Bettendorf, and LaVerne, Davenport.
