LYNCH, ROBERT M

Robert M Lynch, 85 years old, formerly of Bettsville, died Wednesday morni ng Oct. 3, 2001, at St. Claire Medical Center in Crawfordsville, IN. He h ad been living with his son and daughter-in-law in Crawfordsville since Au g. 5, 2000.

He was born Dec. 27, 1915, to Warren P and Eurie Lynch. His wife of 62 yea rs, M VonDale (Baker) Lynch, whom he married April 27, 1936, is decease

Surviving are two sons, R Edward Lynch of SebringFL and Larry L Lynch of C rawfordsville, IN. Three brothers, Richard of Mesa, AZ, Jack E of Fostori a OH and Wm R of Covington, KY. Five sisters, Alice M Bushman of Rockfor d, IL; Beulah Dunn of Springfield, MO, Hazel Hansen of Gibsonburg, Jean Lu tz of Old Fort, Shirley Burkhart of Bettsville; six grandchildren and 10 g reat-grandchildren.

A son, Thomas, and an infant sister are deceased.

Mr. Lynch was an ordained minister and served as a Lay Minister from Fe b. 9, 1977. He was a Sunday School teacher and held many offices at Sal em United Methodist Church. He worked at Basic from 1935 until he retir ed in 1978, and also was a member of the Basic Quarter Century Club. He w as a member of golf leagues at Nature Trails and bowled in Tiffin and Frem ont.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Salem Unit ed Methodist Church in Bettsville with Pastor J Mac Geissinger officiatin g.

Friends may call Friday from 4-9 p.m. at the Engle Funeral Home of Bettsvi lle. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church or Navajo India ns.
