Teammember of Pataskala Licking County Championship football team in 1933.Robert played on the Ohio State Football Team and graduated from DenisonUniversity, where he starred in wrestling and football (Championshipteam, 1937). He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Survived by son,Kevin (Patty) King of Pataskala; daughter, Carolyn (Bob) McQuattie ofDublin; step-son, Gordon (Shirley) Dancey of Florida; step-daughter,Beverly Harter of Heath; grandchildren, Kim Eckert, Leslie King, AmyMcQuattie, Scott (Suzanne) Sanders, Danielle Lacey, Karen (Joe) Hedrick,Keith (Jody) Harter, Christy (Mark) McCoy, Kevin (Lisa) Dancey and GregDancey, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; manynieces and nephews. Preceded in death by first wife Dorothy (Morrison)King, second wife Laurline "Dolly" (Dancey) King, sister Pearl Beeson, 5brothers Lawrence, Gail, Russell, Harold and Chauncey King.
