ROBERT HENDERSON, first child of George (Scotland, near Glasgow) andIsabella Henderson, was born in County Cork, Ireland in 1771 and died inRich Hill Township, Muskingum Co, OH on August 18, 1852. He married Jane(maiden name unknown) who was born in 1780 in Ireland (per censusrecords). They are buried in MT Zion Cemetery at the MT ZionPresbyterian Church, Rich Hill Township, Muskingum Co, OH. Robert came with his parents from Ireland to America about 1793. Theysettled about 12 miles west of Pittsburgh in Washington Co,Pennsylvania. Robert moved to Brooke County, West Virginia about 1801and then moved his family to Muskingum Co, Ohio in the 1830s. He was afarmer and was one of the founders of the MT Zion Presbyterian Church inRich Hill Township, Muskingum Co, Ohio. He fathered eight children. THE STATE OF OHIO COUNTY OF MUSKINGUM TOWNSHIP: RICH HILL COURT OF PROBATE AUGUST 18, 1850

IN THE NAME OF THE BENEVOLENT FATHER OF ALL

I, Robert Henderson, of the Township of Rich Hill in the County ofMuskingum in the State of Ohio, do make and publish this my last Will andTestament.

ITEM 1. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane, all the wheat inthe barn belonging to me at the time of decease. Two cows, all the hogsand sheep on the farm belonging to me, also, one dunn mare*, also, allthe household and kitchen furniture belonging to me including beds andbedding and clothing, also, one third part of the real estate belongingto me during her natural life.

ITEM 2. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary Covill, five hundreddollars in addition to what I have heretofore given her.

ITEM 3. I give and bequeath to my Grandson, Robert McGonigal, onehundred dollars.

ITEM 4. I give and bequeath the other heirs of my deceased daughter,Isabel McGonigal, one hundred and twenty five dollars to be dividedequally among them.

ITEM 5. I give and bequeath to my youngest daughter, Jane Henderson, onehundred dollars that is owing to me in the hands of Hugh Crawford, myson-in-law, also three hundred dollars in addition to paid out of myestate.

ITEM 6. I give and bequeath to my son, Frederick Henderson, fiftydollars in addition to what I have heretofore given him.

ITEM 7. I give and bequeath to my Grandson, Robert Rolin Henderson, onehundred and fifty dollars.

ITEM 8. I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter, Elizabeth Henderson,daughter of my son Frederick Henderson, twenty five dollars.

ITEM 9. I give and bequeath to my son, Walter G. Henderson, two hundreddollars in addition to what I have heretofore given him.

ITEM 10. I give and bequeath to my son, Alexander Henderson, threehundred dollars in addition to what I have heretofore given him.

ITEM 11. I give and bequeath to my son, George Henderson, three hundreddollars in addition to what I have heretofore given him.

ITEM 12. I give and bequeath to my son, Robert Henderson, six hundreddollars in addition to what I have heretofore given him, also the wagon,horse, gear and all the farming utensils belonging to me on the farm atthe time of my decease.

ITEM 13. I do hereby nominate Walter G. Henderson, my son, Executor ofthis, my last will and testament and hereby authorizing and empoweringhim to compromise, adjust, release and discharge in such manner as hedeem proper, the debts and claims due me. I do also authorize andempower him, if it shall be necessary, in order to pay my debts, to sellby private sale, in such manner, upon such terms of credit, or otherwiseas he may think proper all or any part of my personal estate sufficientto pay my just debts. I also authorize and empower my Executor to sellall of my real estate, either at public sale, or private sale as he maythink proper for the disbursement* of the above mentioned legacy's,within twelve months after the decease of my beloved wife, Jane. I dohereby revoke all former wills, by me made. In testimony whereof I haveherein set my hand and sign on this 27th day of July in the year of ourLord one thousand eight hundred and fifty.

CODICIL

August 9th 1852 A Codicil to the will of Robert Henderson, Sen.

It is my last wish and will that after my decease, my personal propertysuch as horses, cattle, sheep, hogs and other property not otherwiseprovided for, be sold at public venue* and that the proceeds whencollected, be placed in the hands of responsible person or persons forthe benefit of my wife Jane Henderson and my daughter Jane Henderson asthey may need it, and appoint Morgan Morgan and Samuel A. Cupins*, to seethat money is appropriated for the purpose of paying taxes, repairingfences and other necessary expenses. Signed by
