HALE, ROBERT J

Funeral services for Robert J Hale, 87, of Benson, Ariz, and formerly of M cComb and Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartley Funeral Ho me, McComb, the Rev. Howard Mayne officiating. Burial will be in Pleasa nt Hill Cemetery, near McComb.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at t he funeral home.

Mr. Hale died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at Benson Hospital, B enson, Ariz.

He was born Sept. 18, 1913 in Fostoria to Park and Gladys (Boday) Hal e. He married Lois Bernadine Clark on May 9, 1936 in Fostoria, and she di ed May 18, 1996.

Surviving are a son, Ronald "Skip" of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Wm (Rober ta) Baxter, Benson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; fi ve great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; six great-great-grandchil dren; and two sisters, Lucy Cook, in Iowa; and Lois Sapp, Cocoa Beach, Fla .

Mr. Hale was a retired electrician from Union Carbide in Fostoria.

He was a member of McComb United Methodist Church, where he was a lay lead er
