    'The death occurred at his residence, Division Street Cobourg on January 11th [1920] of the Rev. R. L. Edwards, aged seventy-five years after an illness from neuralgia of the heart.
    Mr. Edwards was born in Kitley Township, Leeds County in 1844. Early in life he moved to Athens where he lived until he entered on his ministerial life in 1885. At this time he was ordained into the Methodist ministry, and for over thirty years continued to serve the Methodist church until June 1918 when he superannuated and came to Cobourg to reside.
    Mr. Edwards was twice married, first to Miss Kilbourn who predeceased him in 1899, and later to Miss Prudence Ketcheson. He had two children; by his first wife, a daughter Ona who became the wife of Mr. Ben Steward, and by his second wife, a son Robert. Robert became a Flying Officer in the Royal Airforce during the second great war and lost his life during the Battle of Britain.'
