I am a descendant of ROBERT BURNSIDE born in the environs of Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone, N. Ireland in 1706 (?). His wife was ESTHER MAYES, purportedly also from N. Ireland. Robert is said to have descended from ROBERT BURNSIDE of Ayrshire, Sct.>Raphoe>and finally to the estate of Corcreevy, Fivemiletown, Co. Tyrone. He was the son of JOHN WALLACE "of Burnside" Ayrshire and married JANET LINDSAY also of Ayrshire. This according to O'Hart's "Irish Pedigrees."
