When Robert died, his brother Jesse administered his estate. The entire estate was not settled until 1810 and 1814 when the property known as Bean Station was bought from the heirs of Robert Bean by David Proffitt.

Robert and his brother Jessee were the first settlers at Bean'sStation. They owned adjoining lands on German Creek in what is nowGrainger County, Tennessee.
