"Robert Allyn died December 28, 1729, about nine o'clock in the morning (Hempstead's Diary, p. 216). His will was probated Jan. 27, 1730, at New London (New London Wills, vol. C). By numerous deeds he had provided well for his children, and most of his remaining property he left to his wife."
