Dick was part of the D-Day invaision of Normandy. His Navy ship, the U.S.S. Texas, helped push the Nazis back from the landing beach with their big guns and received wounded G.I.s for treatment. Dick worked for Ohio Bell for 37 years at a substation as an electronics technician, then a supervisor. He would tease every year that he shot Santa. Dick was a 65 year Mason and belonged to the Lakewood Lodge. He is resting in Sunset Memorial park, Lawn F, Crypt 318.

PAULSEN, age 89, beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Tripp); dear father of Sandra Gimino and Linda Collins; grandfather of seven; great grandfather of five; brother of the late Carl Paulsen and Dorothy Reisland. 37 year employee of Ohio Bell. WWII US Navy Veteran. Funeral services Monday, May 24 at 12 noon in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. where family will receive friends Monday from 10a.m. until time of service.
