    Migrated to Logansport, Indiana c.1834 & married there; when his wife died, he apparently took their four children back to Kentucky. He remarried in Campbell County & returned to Logansport with his family c.1851.

    By the death of Richard Parish yesteray morning another is added to the long list of old settlers who have passed to the other side recently. Mr. Parish had been an invalid for a long time and his death was not unexpected. He passed away at the ripe old age of 81 years. The deceased was born in Campbell Co., Kentucky, July 20, 1811, and in 1834 settled in Logansport which had been his home ever since. He leaves a widow and eleven children. Mrs. Harriet Barlow of Kokomo; Edward K. of Dayton, O[hio].; John of Richmond [Indiana], Mrs. Lucy Comer, Mrs. Frank Groh, Thos., C. K., Geo. E. and Misses Kate, Mary and Cora Parish of this city. The funeral will be held at his late residence on Fitch Street tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
