- Information came from researcher in Strokestown, Ireland.
Two other records were found in the Bumlin Church of Ireland Parish Records, and they included the marriage of John McLuen and Mary Cassidy on June 27, 1833. This could be Richard’s brother also. And the marriage of Michael Duffy to Susan McGluen (McLuen) on January 29, 1823, and she could be Richard’s sister. Their addresses were given as Kilgarve and Kiltrustan, respectively. There are two death records recorded in Roscommon Co. One is for John McLuen that probably was Richard’s father as the land in the Tithe Applotment Books was in the name of John McLuen. The actual year that John died was not legible, but it was some time in the 1830’s. Susan McLuen was only 35 when she died, so she was only 14 when her first child was born.
