Let it be recorded, that I. Richard Haines, of the Township of Evesham, County of Burlington, in the Western Division of the Province of New Jersey, Yeoman, being in advanced age, but of sound mind and disposing memory, knowing and calling to mind the certainty of death, and not knowing the time of my dissolution, and being willing to settle my temporal affairs, do this thirteenth day of December, Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and forty-four (1744), make this my last will and testament, in manner and form following: First and principally, I commend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God, my Creator, hoping for mercy through the merits and satisfaction of Jesus Christ my Saviour; my body I commend to the earth, to be buried in a decent and Christian-like manner, according to the discretion of my executors hereinafter named, and as touching my worldly substance, I do hereby give, devise and bequeath as follows: Imprimis, I will and order that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid by my executors in some convenient time after my decease. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto my son, Abram Haines, the sum of five shillings and no more; he having already had what I determined. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto my son, Richard Haines, the sum of five shillings and no more, he having had what I determined. Item—I do hereby give unto the children of my daughter, Mary Matlack's children, the sum of five shillings, to be equally divided among them. Item— I do hereby give and bequeath unto my son, Carlile Haines, the sum of five shillings and no more, he having already had his part. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto the children of my daughter, Rebecca Matlack, the sum of five shillings, to be equally divided between them. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto my daughter, Rachel Albison, the sum of five shillings and no more, she having had her portion. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto my son, Enoch Haines, the sum of five shillings and no more, he having had his portion. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto my son, Bethanah Haines, the sum of five shillings and no more, he having already had his share. Item—I do hereby give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah, the wife of Edward Hillier, the sum of five shillings and no more, she having had what I determined. Item—I do hereby order, will and appoint, that my beloved wife, Mary Haines, shall have the use, income, profit and sole advantage of all the residuary part of my estate whatever and wheresoever during her natural life.

Item—I do hereby (after my wife's decease) give and bequeath all and every part of the residue and remainder of all my estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my daughter, the widow, Elizabeth Newberry, and to her assigns forever. Lastly—I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my wife, Mary Haines, and my daughter, Elizabeth Newberry, executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking, making null and void and null every and all former wills by me heretofore at any time made. Hereby ratifying, appointing and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the dav and year before mentioned.
