"..Richard witnessed the power-of-attorney of John Carlile to James Carlile in 1806 in Barren Co. KY. Richard proved a deed in Green County for William Bartlett of Wilson Co. TN to John Grundy of Wash. Co. KY, 28 Feb 1803 (entered in Green Co. Deeds, Bk 3, pgs 209-210)"

Richard married Rhoda Chandler (Carlyle) Pelham on 26 Aug 1799 in , Green Co., KY.

From "Carlile And Related Families, Augusta, Bath and Highland Counties Virginia 1745 to 1875" by Carol Watson and Frances Buchanan Arlington, 1994. "on marriage, Thomas B. Pelham noted "Rhoda Chandler is his sister and is 21", so I assume Chandler was her married name.

"17 May 1813, Mrs Rhody Carlisle, a widow, married Robert Lemons. Surety, Solomon C. Johnson. Minister was W. Stallard."
