References
  1. Richard Baldwin III, in Find A Grave.

The entry states (without evidence) that he was born 3 June 1576 in Cholesbury, Buckinghamshire, England.

The 1576 birth date might have been in the Ancestral File, and is commonly used in trees, but I could find no source for it. There was a Richard Baldwin, son of Richard Baldwin, baptized in Tring, Hertfordshire 7 Nov 1573. Tring is less than 4 miles from Cholesbury. It is possible that the 1576 birth date was a fabrication, and that the 1573 baptism date belongs to this man. Or the 1573 baptism could be for an older brother who died. Or it could be for an unrelated or less closely related person.

Both here and in the NEHGR article on the Baldwin family (NEHGR 38(1884):164), it is stated that the will was dated 23 May 1630. However, the transcript immediately below (in this book and) ends with (just above the witnesses and signature: "sett my hand and seale, the 23 of December, 1630."
