THE EMPORIA DAILY GAZETTE, Monday, April 9, 1956 R. B. Livingston Dies Madison - R. B. Livingston, of Madison, a retired oil field worker, died in the Newman Memorial County Hospital at Emporia Saturday evening at 6:15 o'clock. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Madison Christian Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. L. Metery, Robert W. Break sang, accompanied by Mrs. Chester Miles. Pallbearers were G. T. McCurry, Roy Kipfer, Russell V. Armstrong, J. P. Collier, C. R. McClelland, and John L. Taggart. Burial was in Blakely Cemetery. Mr. Livingston was born Sept. 26, 1876 in Lee Center, Ill. a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Livingston. He married Emma Head in 1901. The survivors are the wife of the home; three daughters. Mrs. Nellie Crowell, Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Fern Taggart, Madison, Mrs. Florence Simmons, Kansas City. One son Walter Livingston, Wichita, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Fox, Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Alice Mason, Manhattan; one brother Al Livingston, Coffeyville, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Livingston has lived in Madison the past 17 years. He previously has lived in Coffeyville and Gridley.
