Tracing the History of the Descendants of Paul Froman Sr and Elizabeth Hite [[1]]

Regina Froman (born about 1729/1730). I have found ties between Regina and her brothers, especially Jacob Froman Sr, she makes Jacob Sr the Assignee in the settlement of her husband estate. Found them both listed in a case listed in case in the Supreme Court of Virginia district of Kentucky, Book 1 page 250 of the Supreme Court of District of Kentucky, for the state of Virginia (June) 1787). There are records of Jacob Froman visiting the widow Speers, showing a closer relationship between them. Additional information, Paul Froman's will states "and to my daughters twenty dollars each and each of my daughters that is deceased the same shall be given to their husbands or children". Because of the use of plural form, there are at least two daughters who are living at time of his death; daughters Sarah and Maria Christina are both dead, leaving daughters Regina and Elizabeth. If Regina Froman was born about 1729, that would mean her first child was born when she was 17 (1746) and her last when she was 40 (1769). That is a far more believable age span for a woman to have children than from age 22 to 45. Perhaps it is no coincidence that. Daniel Bly, author of "From the Rhine to the Shenandoah", a three-volume work on the European ancestors of 18th-century German speaking pioneers in the Shenandoah Valley, has done extensive statistical analyses of the ages of women when they last gave birth. 80 percent of the women in his work gave birth for the last time at age 42. Another 18 percent stopped having children sooner than that. None in his sample gave birth any later than age 46. If the analysis of family presented here is correct, Reginia Froman gave birth for the last time at age 40 – close to the age of 42 the most common age for a final birth to women of German origin in the Shenandoah Valley and for women throughout Europe and America in the same time period. In the Jost Hite vs Lord Fairfax case file date May 1770, land was sold/given by Paul Froman Sr to his daughter Maria and Magdalen and their husbands Abraham Kellar and William Overall, it mentions that Henry Speers, husband of Regina, had already sold 200 acres of his portion of the tract to a Daniel Stoever. Regina transfers property to her Noah Speers, who she lists as her son Deed book 4 page 143-146, 23 Oct 1798 - Westmoreland County, PA. The first thing that suggested to me that she could not be Paul Sr’s sister was the very late date that she was still bearing children and the late date to which she lived. I know that Noah Speers was born 1769, many have suggested that Regina was born in 1720 to 1725, that would make her 44-49 years old at time of Noah’s birth. I would put her birth closer to 1730, instead of in the 1720s. Her mother, Elizbeth Hite was baptize on 4 Nov 1711, and understanding the context of the time it is like that she was married when she was 16-19 years old, putting her marriage between 1728-1730. I have seen the date of 1731 used for the marriage of Paul Froman Sr and Elizabeth Hite, but have not found any records to support that date. Believe researchers were using the know birth of daughter Sarah Froman born 16 Nov 1732, and backing it up a year.
