...regarding my ancestor Rebeckah Houston who I believe is the daughter of John Houston, brother of General Sam Houston of Texas. The marriage certificate I obtained from the Maryville County Clerk, Blount Cty, lists Rebeckah R Houston who married my grandfather (four times removed) Thomas J Young July 21, 1831. (Young immigrated from Northern Ireland in 1806 with his widowed mother and they lived in Missouri, moved to Dallas and their son Andrew settled our family ranch in Coleman Cty. Tx. after the Civil War).

1. ↑ 1880 places her in the household of her son Andrew Young, in Coleman County Tx. Some have her buried in Fort Bend County, but that's a substantial distance from Coleman.
