  2. A Template:Fgravmem, showing a picture of a broken gravestone, says Rebecca b. 1783, d. 1857 in Ohio, having m. (2) Charles Chandler. It identifies her as d/o Caleb Dexter and Hannah Hale. HOWEVER, the Rochester records show the daughter of Caleb and Hannah was born 1790, which is certainly too late to be the woman in a 1799 marriage. Even 1783 is suspect given she was marrying in 1799 a man born in 1735, so aged 54. More likely is the Rebecca, d/o Ebenezer, bp. 1760 according to Rochester VRs, or perhaps even somebody else.
The Rebecca Eldredge who married Charles Chandler does appear to be b. 1783 based on her 1850 census (line 17), but it is not clear that a 16 year old would have married in 1799 a 54 year old Elnathan Eldredge. So possibly Charles Chandler's wife was not his widow (she was a widow when she married Elnathan and this is her daughter?)
