Records from the internet (US and Int'l Marriage Records, 1560-1900) show that they were married in North Carolina: Name: Prudence Shaw Gender: female Birth Place: Ir Birth Year: 1742 Spouse Name: Finley Stewart Spouse Birth Place: Ir Spouse Birth Year: 1730 Marriage State: of NC

On Prudence's tombstone, a double stone with her husband, it is written, "Prudence Stewart, consort of Finley Stewart, d. 28 February 1821, 80 years and 2 months." This would make 1741 the accurate birth year, as opposed to the alternate records which say 1742.
