    George Blackburn b. 1746 of the Blackburn family of Scotland, seated in Kilcain, son of Edward and Anne Blackburn, and grandson of William and Elizabeth Blackburn of Middlesex Co. VA.

    George and Prudence together with the Rev. Gideon Blackburn and a sister, Elizabeth Blackburn (who m. Richard Bohannon), with other relatives and friends, made the journey in 1784 to Kentucky via the Wilderness Road to what is today Woodford County. They had 12 children.
