"Priscilla is presented here (as daughter of Thomas and Mary (Canne) Clarke) despite a lack of evidence to place her as a member of the family of Thomas and Mary Clarke (of Banham, Norfolk). She may have been a member of a branch of the Banham family. … It remains possible that she was a daughter of Rowland Clark of Dedham, if he were shown to be the Rowland born 1590, son of Clement Clark. Her presence in Dedham, the naming patterns among her children and their intermarriage among the offspring of other Clarks, and her husband’s dealings with the Clarks is not likely to have been entirely coincidental."[2]

"Priscilla Clarke has been dismissed as a child of Thomas and Mary (Cann) Clark of Banham [will of Faith Catton of Banham, quoted on page 180], although their possible kinship cannot be."[3]
