Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Spur Church of Christ for Preston Riley Boothe, 66, Novel Baize, Abilene, officiating. Mr. Boothe, a farmer in the Steel Hill Community, died about 7:30 p.m. May 15, in a Lubbock hospital. He had been ill about 3 months.

Born in Milam County, Mr. Boothe came to Dickens Co. in 1912. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Boothe; one daughter, Lois Pierce, Lubbock; one brother, Garvey, Spur and two sisters, Mrs. R.E. Jones, Lubbock and Mrs. Alma Randall, Ft. Worth; two half-sisters; Mrs. Jean Sonnamaker, Spur and Mrs. Frace Starcher, Washington; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Delwin Jones, David Enger, Chester Anderson, George Tate, Clomer Randall and Troy Boothe. Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
