  • He served in the revolution army, and at the close of the war was major of Col. Malmedy's mounted corps.
  • He studied law, and in 1789 became clerk of the house of commons of North Carolina.
  • He finally removed to Tennessee, and died at Huntington, that state December 10, 1842.
