    Philip must have died before June 1227, as a court case then talked about the wardship of his daughter, which was already established by that time.

    This message cites a court case recorded 13 June 1227, of which the following is part:
    '... Ralph gave the manor to Roger de Monhaut his brother, who held the manor all his life; and after his death the manor descended to Leuca, his daughter, and from Leuca to Agnes, daughter of Leuca, who is in ward to the said Philip by gift of Roger de Monhaut the capital lord; and he produced the deed of the said Roger, which showed he had give 100 marks to the said Roger for the wardship of Agnes, daugthter of Leuca, ...'
