REFN: 139 [20580.ged] The Wolfs and Malones came to Ritchie Co from Harrison Co and settled on the South Fork of the Hughes River. (Ref: Ritchie Co VA Minister's Returns p.15). Marie Taylor sent records from the Family Record of William Peter Wolf which says: "Harrison Co, VA was formed from Monongalia Co in 1784. Lewis Co, (W) VA was formed from Harrison Co in 1816. Ritchie Co, WVwas formed from parts of Harrison, Lewis and Wood counties in 1843." "Peter Wolf, born c1770, said to have been born in MD and removed to PA and from there removed to Harrison, VA. He was of German decent. He was a carpenter by trade and owned a farm in Smithville, Lewis Co, (W) VA, where he is buried. He died in the year 1825. He married Maria Magdalena Hanley, also known as Maudlin Hanley. She died in 1834 or 1835. They had 8 children.
