Reacher's note: This Peter RAUSCH apparently was a different person than his fellow Palatine, who was born only a year later (1829). Apparently, the Peter Rausch, born 1829, had also once lived in Tuscarawas County. His wife was Christina Keafaber, a daughter of Barbara GEIBEL. The Waldgrehweiler GEIBEL family, is one of the central families to "White Creek's" research into the Palatine families who migrated to Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and then on to Wabash County, Indiana. Altogether, it seems there were at least 5 RAUSCH families associated with Tuscarawas County.

Peter was probably born in the Palatinate, which at one time had been ruled by the Kingdom of Bavaria (hence the use of "Bayern" in many records. Many of the RAUSCH surnames of Tuscarawas County, migrated from the town of BAUMHOLDER.
