Bapt. at Milford, 25 Apr. 1641; settled in Fairfield and d. in 1690. … Inv. 31 Mar. 1690; left widow Sarah; son Samuel had an estate from his grandfather; Peter the second son; three daus. Sarah Coley, Mary wife of Nicholas Johnson, and Ann Coley. Children's ages 5 Apr. 1690: Sarah 22, Ann 18 last Jan., Mary 13, Elizabeth 8, Hannah 6, one son Peter. Agreement of heirs 15 Mar. 1694/5; Samuel Coley, Nicholas Johnson in right of wife, Sarah Coley, Sarah Coley Widow, and Peter Coley. On 19 June 1705, Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Westcott of Cohansey, N. J., yeoman, and dau. of Peter Coley of Fairfield, receipted to bro. Peter; witnesses, Sarah Jennings, John Meredith. William Rowlinson of Fairfield, yeoman, receipted 20 Mar. 1704 to Peter Coley for wife Sarah's portion; witnesses, John and Elizabeth Meredith. Samuel Coley gave discharge to Est. of his father Peter, 6 Feb. 1691/2: and Nicholas Johnson of Fairfield receipted, 25 Oct. 1696, to bro. Peter Coley and my wife's mother as Exec'rs."
