Gender Male
Christening[1] 10 Feb 1733/34 Westbrook, Middlesex, Connecticut, United States
Marriage 2 Jul 1752 Killingworth, Middlesex, Connecticut, United Statesto Merab Ward
Death[1] Abt 1806

At some point after 1790, Peleg, Merab and several of their children relocated to Castleton, Rutland County, Vermont. Peleg is listed in both the Connecticut and Vermont census.

The 1790 Census of Castleton, Rutland County shows both Peleg and Peleg Jr. as heads of household. (The census was actually taken in 1791.)

Jeremiah and Asenath might have been married and living with his father Isaac (who shows 3 males over 16 and three females), or might not have been married yet. Edward and Content might have been living with his parents.

1791 Census Castleton, Rutland County, Vermont Roll 12 Book 2 Page 263

Peleg's entry shows 3 males 16 and over who could be Peleg, Edward and Zina. It also shows 4 females: Merab, Asenath (if not yet married), Betsey and another who could be either Marilla OR Content Fuller if Edward and she were living there.

Peleg Jr.'s entry shows 1 male (himself) and 2 females (his wife Electa and their first daughter, Camilla.)

Zina Doud, born 1775 in Salisbury Ct., married Sally Hamlin in Vermont. There was a Simon Hamlin in Middleton, Rutland County with 4 females in 1791. The other two Hamlins, Simon2 and Eleasar each only listed one female but are still possible candidates for her father. There no other close variations on the name Hamlin in Vermont at that time (Hamblin etc) but there were a number of Hamlins in other counties in Vermont.

Edward married Content Fuller in CT but had no children until 1792 in Western NY. He is not listed in the 1790 census as head of household. He is listed in 1800 in Otsego County, NY with Jeremiah Rumsey and Benjamin Fuller living near. He remained in New York and raised a family there.

1800 Hubbardton, Rutland County, Vermont Roll 52, Book 1, Page 93

In 1800 Peleg was in Vermont but in the town of Hubbardton. He is listed as head of household. It seems he and Merab live alone.
