Pattison Lortz, 92, of 221 E. Sheridan Ave, died at 8:10 PM, March 10, 1984, at Jameson Memorial Hospital. A former resident of 229 E. Euclid Ave, she was born on Nov 11, 1891 in Union Twp, to Charles Alexander and Nancy Almira Morrison Pattison, both deceased. She was married on July 31, 1923 to Floyd V. Lortz who preceded her in death on Aug 16, 1978. Mrs. Lortz attended the University of Pittsburgh and the Snow-Fraelich Art School of Chicago, IL and taught at Lincoln-Garfield and Ben Franklin schools for 12 years. She was a lifelong member of Clen-Moore United Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deacon and taught Sunday School. She was a charter member of the Rebekah Chapter Missionary Society and served as past president. She helped organize the Clen-Moore Guild and was a member of the church choir for 30 years. She is survived by a son, William Charles Lortz of Houston, Texas. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Mary Myrtle Pattison and 2 brothers, David M and Roy E Pattison. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM tomorrow at Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 1:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home by Rev Velis Vals of Clen-Moore UP Church. Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery. References
