Daily Times-News, The Wednesday, March 23, 1966 SNOW CAMP A 44 year- old man died last night of a shot- gun wound in the left side of his chest inflicted as A1 a m a n e e County deputies arrived at his home" in answer to a call. Paul Eugene SIPE of Rt. 2, Snow Camp, died within moments after he was injured. Alamance County Coroner Carl M. Crabtree ruled his death was the result of a self inflicted . Alamance County Deputies Shoffner and Ralph Pearson had arrived at the SIPE home at about o'clock last night in answer to a report of a disturbance in the vicinity. They saw a group of people at the barns near the home and were walking in that direction when they heard the shotgun blast. Members of his family were with the textile employee when the incident occurred, officers reported. No reason was given for his action. Mr. SIPE was a native of Rockingham County, son of 0 L and Mrs.. Minnie Alcon SIPE of Rt. 2, Bear Creek, who survive Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Murray SIPE of the home; five daughters, Sandra, HILDA, Glenda and Susan SIPE, all of the home, and Paulette SIPE, of Rt. 4, Siler City; four sons, Bobby, Billy and Paul SIPE Jr.., all of the home, and Linwood SIPE of Rt 4, Siler City, three sisters, Mrs. Alta Mae Green and Mrs. Lois Gilhland of Greensboro and Mis. Virginia Moody of Bear Creek, and four brothers, James SIPE of Burlington, Ralph SIPE and Jack SIPE of Bear Creek, and Billy Gene SIPE of Greensboro Final rites will be held at o'clock Friday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel in Burlington. The service will be conducted by the Rev. P. F Newton, pastor of Methodist Church, Rock Creek
