Augusta County, VA at one time encompassed Kentucky. It was a massive County. Thus, Patrick Gilmore did not have to change locations to have been in Augusta County and Kentucky. Patrick Gilmore, Jr. married at Gilmore Station, located 40miles north east of Boonesborough (north of Mt. Sterling) in Montgomery County, KY.
