Born April 25, 1894 in San Francisco, California. In census of 1910 he was a apprentice in sheet metal work. In later years he a tax assessor for the city of Alameda, California.

He married Elsie. They lived in Alameda, California at 1527 Santa Clara Avenue. (house in front of August W. Borgwardt) Elsie had TB. She died August 8, 1944 at 56 years of age. She is buried at Mountain View Cemetery plot 56 grave 1409 Oakland, California.


Otto died in December, 1968. Social Security Number was 547-07-3584

Otto was possibly a member of the American Legion, Alameda Post 9. There's an Otto Borgwardt listed in the Oakland Tribune July 18, 1939 as being part of an activities committee a legion picnic at Neptune Beach.
