12 Sep 1918 WWI Draft Registration: Otto Roman/Romain Bond resident of Orondo, Douglas Co. WA b. 2 Feb 1882, age 36 - Mrs. Julia C. Bond (wife) his closest relative. Description: tall, medium build, light brown eyes and brown hair

Big Bend Empire 28 Apr 1921 The program of the Orondo Get-Together Club was one of the most enjoyable of the season. The main feature of the entertainment was an extended vaudeville act by Lynn Smith and Don Smith, continually interrupted by peals of laughter from the appreciative audience. A chalk talk by O. R. Bond was also much enjoyed, and a splendid vocal solo by Harold Smith was heartily encored. Perhaps the most unique feature of the entertainment was the "first appearance" of the young daughter and son of Mr. Smith, aged two and four respectively. They bid fair to follow in their father's footsteps in their enthusiasm for singing. Dancing was enjoyed until a late hour and refreshments were served. Much credit is due to Mr. Don Smith for the planning of this evening of good fun.
