    Orestes H. Massey. Born Jan. 16, 1858 [sic] at Albia to John and Matilda Massey. Lived on the same farm all his life. Married Catherine Mathews, Oct. 29, 1885 and had five children: Edith, Ruth, Blanche, John, and Edna. Joined the M.E. Church. Died Aug. 8, 1916 in an accident [no details given]. Survivors are his wife, five children, and sister Zella Rouse of Hinton. Funeral at the M.E. Church, Rev. A. B. Cadwell officiating. Burial in Oakview Cemetery.
