Children of Nicholas & Elizabeth Lowe: 7b. Mary LOWE b. July 7, 1691 m. 1st. Rev. John ALLEN, married 2nd to Rev. William GLEN & married 3rd to Thomas BOZEMAN. Had children. 7c.) Elizabeth LOWE b. Oct. 12, 1693 d. Feb. 10, 1720/1 married William WOOD. They had no children. 7d. )Prudence LOWE b. Sept. 9, 1695 m. Andrew PRICE. Had issue. 7e.) Nicholas LOWE, Jr. b. 28 Feb. 1697/8 d. 1745 (will) married Margaret TURBUTT (she died in 1756). She was a daughter to Foster Turbutt (1679-1720/1) and Britchet Stone. Margaret TURBUTT was Born: 11/13/1697 probably in Kent Co. Was in Talbot Co. by 1687. A Biographical Dictionary of the Maryland Legislature, 1635-1789.. No issue. 7f.) Dorothy LOWE b. 11 Oct. 1700 m. 1st to Francis HARRISON & 2nd to Joseph EASON. she had Issue by both husbands. 7g.) Henry Lowe (twin) b. Feb. 24, 1702 d. 1704. 7h.) Vincent Lowe (twin) b. Feb. 24, 1702 m. Elizabeth (probably MARTIN) & had: Bennett, Henry & Nicholas. Issue: Nicholas b. August 4, 1724, & six others. The other children are named in the will of their Uncle Nicholas Lowe (1744). They are Henry, Bennett, William, Elizabeth, Henrietta Maria & Mary Lowe." The reference listed below is possibly Nicholas (Sr.). 27th Sept., 1702; 11th Nov., 1702. William EDMONDSON, Dorchester Co.,MD. To son William, land (unnamed) between "Richardson's Folly" and Skillington Ck. To wife Sarah, land (unnamed) north of Skillington Ck. To son Solomon, residue of land adjoining afsd. tract. To son John, 600 A., "The Addition" bought from Maj. Thos. TAYLOR. To dau. Eliza:, land (unnamed) bought from Jno. NICHOLLS. To Robert UNGLE of Talbot Co., 824 A., "The Addition's Outrange," and 700 A., "Three Bounded Hickories" provided he pay 8000 Ibs. of tobacco to son Peter Sharpe EDMONDSON; otherwise sd. tracts to pass to sd. son Peter Sharpe EDMONDSON, together with 1000 A., part of warrant for 4500 A. To Mary and Sarah HANLEY, daus. of Manus HANLEY, equally, 300 A., part of sd. warrant. pages 42-43 of Volume 51 of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly which Chris referenced in his Colonial Families article on LOWE. Quote, in part, "Col. Nicholas and his brother, Lt. Col. Henry Lowe, settled first in Calvert Co., MD, on large tracts of land patented to them by the Proprietary. Lord Baltimore promptly appointed Col. Nicholas Lowe Clerk of Talbot County, thus giving him an office of importance within rea his distinguished kinsman. Here he married Elizabeth Roe, daughter of Edward Ro(w)e, and widow of Maj. William Combes, of Talbot County. Col. Nichol Lowe owned thousands of acres in Talbot Co, where he continued to gr wealth and prominence until his death in the year 1717. Issue from will of Elizabeth Lowe (Md. Wills, vol. 4, pp. 217-18), Lib. 15, Fol. 248), and proved 11 November 1719, being: i. Nicholas Lowe, ii Vincent Lowe; iii. Mary Lowe; m. - Bozman; iv. Dorothy Lewis; m-Harrison; v. Sarah Lowe; m. - Long;--Pattison; vi Prudence; m. - Price" unquote.
