Obituary from the Post-Tribune Gary, IN: NETTIE J. CHANDLER Age 82, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2002. Nettie was born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, on September 28, 1919, to the late Raymond and Mary (Nedock) Tullis. She was a Hobart, IN resident since 1942. Nettie was an active member of the Hobart Civic Club. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and knitting. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank A. Chandler of Hobart, IN; daughter, Marie Jean (Chandler) David of Portage, IN; sons, James R. (Vivian) Chandler of Pawley's Island, S.C., Francis "Skip" (Carol) Chandler of Seymour, IN and Robert J (Linda) Chandler of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Dorothy (Tullis) Lundy of Chazy, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by brother, Clayton Tullis, grandson, Marc O. Chandler, and son-in-law, John J. David III. Private visitation and funeral services will be held at Rees Funeral Homes Inc., Hobart Chapel 219-942-2109. Memorial Donations may be made to the Community Foundation of Jackson County for the Marc Owen Chandler Memorial Scholarship Fund or to "Another Christ Burse" for the education of Seminarians.
