Nellie J. (Wardwell) Albee, 90, formerly of Presque Isle and wife of the late Stephen Albee, died Sept. 13, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1914, in Perham, the daughter of Grover and Edna (Nelson) Wardwell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Arthur Cote of Bangor; two sisters, Alice Dyer and Fern Malcolm, both of Bangor; one brother, Grover Wardwell Jr. of Oregon; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Wardwell of Bangor; two grandsons, Stephen Cote of Merrimack, N.H., Todd Cote of San Diego, Calif.; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Mike Tapper of the Pathway Wesleyan Church, Bangor, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the service. Interment will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Fair-mount Cemetery, Presque Isle. -Bangor Daily News 14 September 2004
