    Will of "Nathaniell Woods of Groton ... yeoman", dated 9 Feb 1737/38, proved 22 Jul 1738, names wife Mary [£30], eldest son Nathaniell [already has his double portion], sons John, Isaac, Aaron [land which "was Formerly my hon'd Father's Sam'l Woods Deceast"], Moses, Jonathan [already given his share], Ruben [homestead providing he pay my daughter Bathsheba]; daughter Phebe Tufts [already given her share]; grandson Nathaniell Farmer [under 21]. Friend Col. Benjamin Prescott Esq'r to be sole executor ["the beforenamed Executor (before Administr'n of the Said Dece'ds Estate could be committed to him) did Decease ... at the Request of the Parties concern'd commit unto William Lawrance of s'd Groton Gentlemen the Administration (cum Testamento annexo)" Note: original text, probably written 22 Jul, had been corrected to reflect death of Benjamin Prescott, probably at some later date, see petition dated 21 Aug].
