    'He was probably the Nathaniel Dickens, son of Thomas and Joan Dickens, who was baptized in Chesham, co. Bucks., 1 Feb. 1614/15.'

    'In 1679 he exchanged his house and land in Newport for land at Block Island with John Williams and removed to the Island, where he died in 1692.'

    -July 16, 1647 witnessed deed of "surgeon" John Greene of Providence.
    -May 26, 1663 deed John Sayles to Wm Hawkins mentions that the land conveyed had formerly belonged to Joan Tyler, afterward wife to Nathaniel Dickens.
    -May 7, 1679 exchanged property in Newport for land in SW New Shoreham.
    -1690 Nathaniel Dickens deed land at New Shoreham to daughter Mercy & her husband Gregory Mark of Oyster Bay, Long Island.
    -June 5, 1705 Sarah Brown widow of Nathaniel Dickens & her 2 sons John & Roger Dickens sold to Thomas Rathbone certain land that Nathaniel Dickens, by will, gave to wife Sarah & at her death to sons John & Roger.
